Moises Caicedo Sets Ambitious Goals For Chelsea's 2025-26 Season Following Recent Triumphs

Moises Caicedo is eager for more achievements with Chelsea after a successful season, including winning the Club World Cup and qualifying for the Champions League.

Moises Caicedo is eager to build on Chelsea's recent triumphs as he looks forward to the 2025-26 season. The team concluded the previous season by clinching the revamped Club World Cup in the United States, adding to their Conference League success. Under Enzo Maresca's leadership, they also secured a spot in the Champions League.

The Ecuadorian midfielder was instrumental in Chelsea's achievements last season. He participated in all 38 Premier League matches, ranking fifth in tackles with 114 and joint-eighth in interceptions with 49. In the Club World Cup, he made significant contributions, recording the second-most tackles despite playing only five out of seven matches.

Caicedo Aims Higher for Chelsea's Future

Caicedo is determined to excel further in the upcoming season and is excited about participating in the Champions League for the first time. "For sure I am going to try and play even better than last season," Caicedo expressed on Chelsea's website.

The 23-year-old is driven by an insatiable desire for success. "I have hunger for more. I have always said I don't have limits; the sky is the limit," he stated. Caicedo aims to start the new season strongly, acknowledging that while it will be challenging, especially in the Premier League, Chelsea is prepared to perform well.

Playing in the Champions League is a dream come true for Caicedo. He described it as an incredible experience, noting how different it feels when watching on TV compared to being part of it. "It's an amazing feeling when you are watching on TV. You can feel it is different," he remarked.

Caicedo emphasised that playing at this level means being watched by a global audience, which adds pressure but also excitement. "Everybody in the whole world is watching you. It's another level, and now we are there, we want to do really well," he concluded.
