With the Red Devils and the Magpies sitting 3rd and 5th in the Premier League table respectively, this grand finale is poised to become a thrilling encounter. Carabao Cup Final - Man United vs Newcastle United Team News and Injury Update:

Man United-

Manchester United are going to miss three players in the Carabao Cup final. Midfielder Christian Eriksen is out with an ankle injury. Donny van de Beek will be missing with knee problem while attacker Anthony Martial is out with a hip issue. Marcus Rashford limped off their Europa League tie against Barcelona, and the prolific forward will be assessed before the game.

The Red Devils will be taking a lot of confidence from their Europa League play-off win over Barcelona as they look to taste their first silverware under the tutelage of Erik Ten Hag. The Dutch manager will be fielding a full-strength team in the match. Fred and Casemiro set to partner at midfield while Bruno Fernandes will have the key attacking role. January signing Wout Weghorst may keep his place in the starting lineup.

Newcastle-

Newcastle are also set to miss Joelinton (Thigh) and Joe Willock (Thigh) in the final. Matt Target hasn't played since December and is expected to miss the final on Sunday, while right-back Emil Krafth is ruled out for the season.

Loris Karius is set to be in the goal for the Magpies as both their first two custodians are unavailable. Nick Pope is suspended after his Red Card against Liverpool, while Martin Dubravka is cup-tied as he was loaned to Manchester United earlier this season and played in a Carabao Cup tie for the Red Devils. Callum Wilson may come back into the side replacing Alexander Isak as the leading striker, but it is to be seen whether Eddie Howe goes with a back four or tweaks his defensive formation in the final.
