Manchester United put five past Leicester City to book a quarterfinal showdown in the Carabao Cup against Tottenham Hotspur as eight Premier League teams enter the last eight in the English domestic tournament.

On the back of Erik Ten Hag's sacking Man United beat Leicester 5-2 at Old Trafford on Wednesday (October 30), when Tottenham edged past eight-time winners Manchester City 2-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to book their place in the Quarter-Finals.

Joining Man United and Spurs in the draw on Wednesday (October 30) night were Arsenal, Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Brentford, Southampton and Newcastle United, who all won their respective round of 16 ties.

Holders Liverpool moved into the Last Eight after overcoming Brighton & Hove Albion 3-2 at the Amex, while Arsenal saw off Preston North End 3-0 away from home as Newcastle dumped out Chelsea with a 2-0 win at St James' Park.

Crystal Palace edged past Aston Villa at Villa Park to setup a London Derby in the quarterfinal against Arsenal. Newcastle will face Liverpool in one of two mouth-watering clashes in the last eight stage.

Southampton and Brentford booked their places in the EFL Cup quarterfinal on Tuesday (October 29), when the Saints edged Stoke City at home 3-2, and Brentford saw off Sheffield Wednesday via penalty shootout 5-4 after the contest ended 1-1 in regulation time.
