Jamie Carragher, a Liverpool legend, believes Mohamed Salah should remain at the club for the rest of the season. Salah stirred controversy after Liverpool's 3-3 draw with Leeds United on December 6. He claimed he felt unsupported by the club, leading to widespread criticism, including from Carragher.
Salah was initially excluded from Arne Slot's squad during Liverpool's Champions League victory over Inter. However, he returned as a substitute against Brighton, assisting Hugo Ekitike's second goal in a 2-0 win. This performance set a new Premier League record for goal involvements with one club, reaching 277.

After bidding farewell to fans at full-time, Salah joined Egypt's squad for the Africa Cup of Nations. Despite uncertainty about his future, Carragher hopes Salah stays beyond the next transfer window. Carragher expressed his thoughts to Sky Sports: "I don't see Mo Salah playing for Liverpool next season."
He continued by questioning if Salah would remain committed until season's end. Carragher urged him to reconsider any plans to leave. He highlighted that moving now might lead to watching Liverpool in major finals from afar.
Carragher emphasised that Salah deserves recognition for his contributions to Liverpool. "He deserves a guard of honour," Carragher said. "He deserves a mosaic in the Kop." He suggested that Salah should celebrate his achievements with his family on the pitch during his final game.
Salah has scored 190 Premier League goals, ranking fourth all-time. Wayne Rooney holds third place with 208 goals, Harry Kane is second with 213, and Alan Shearer leads with 260 goals.
