Dani Carvajal's Confidence Sky High As He Prepares For Real Madrid Return Against Juventus

Dani Carvajal is optimistic about his return to Real Madrid after a long injury layoff. He feels great and is ready to contribute against Juventus in the Club World Cup.

Real Madrid's Dani Carvajal is feeling confident as he gears up for a return from injury against Juventus in the Club World Cup. Carvajal, who has appeared in 286 LaLiga games, has been out since October 2024 due to ruptured ligaments and a tendon in his right knee during a match against Villarreal.

After nearly nine months away from the field, Carvajal is eager to rejoin the Real Madrid squad. "On a personal level, I feel great, I'm back in the group dynamics," he stated. "I don't know if I'll be part of the squad tomorrow, perhaps I can be on the bench and available to the coach. I'm really pleased in that sense."

Carvajal Confident Ahead of Madrid Return

Carvajal expressed his readiness to contribute wherever needed, saying, "The coach is bringing real versatility to the team with [Aurelien] Tchouameni's position. And I'll play anywhere, even between the sticks." He added that he has played various positions before and is always prepared for any role required by the coach.

Reflecting on his recovery journey, Carvajal shared that dealing with injuries can be challenging but remained positive throughout. "There have been moments where being injured really gets to you, but that's just the way it is," he said. Despite these challenges, he maintained an optimistic outlook during his rehabilitation process.

Under Xabi Alonso's leadership, Real Madrid topped Group H by winning two matches and drawing one against Al-Hilal. This promising start sets a positive tone for their upcoming clash with Juventus. Meanwhile, Juventus suffered a heavy 5-2 defeat against Manchester City in their last group game.

Dean Huijsen, who recently joined Real Madrid from Bournemouth after playing for Juventus, praised his former club's defensive skills. "They're proper defensive specialists and they really work hard on it," Huijsen said. He expressed gratitude for what he learned there and emphasized Real Madrid's determination to win.

Aiming for Victory

"We're ready and I hope we can win it," Huijsen stated confidently about their upcoming match against Juventus. He highlighted the team's physical preparation and belief in their ability to succeed. "We're playing for pride and to win the game," he added.

The return of key players like Carvajal strengthens Real Madrid's squad as they aim to lift the trophy. "It's brilliant to have players like Carvajal back; he's crucial for us and will help us to be stronger," Huijsen noted.
