Cristiano Ronaldo requests Al-Nassr to sign Manchester United star next

Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Nassr is reportedly eyeing a move for Manchester United midfielder Casemiro, following a recommendation from none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Reportedly Casemiro, who was brought in by manager Erik ten Hag for a hefty £60 million in August 2022 from Real Madrid, might be on his way out despite a stellar debut season at Old Trafford.

Casemiro played a crucial role in Manchester United's third-place finish in the Premier League and their triumphant Carabao Cup campaign.

However, despite being under contract until 2026, the midfielder is allegedly not seen as a long-term solution for the Red Devils in the defensive midfield position.

The Brazilian is now facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford following a struggling campaign. Manchester United's new investor, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly willing to freshen up the squad and ready to remove some of the underperforming players with high wages. Casemiro is reportedly one of the casualties they are looking at.

The prospect of a move to the Saudi Pro League seems to be gaining traction since, with Al-Nassr reportedly heeding Ronaldo's advice and expressing a keen interest in securing Casemiro's services.

As per reports, the player himself is also intrigued by the challenge of playing in Saudi Arabia.

While Al-Nassr currently faces constraints regarding the number of foreign players in their squad, a potential departure, notably that of Seko Fofana, may open up space for Casemiro.

Fofana, who played a pivotal role in Lens' qualification for the Champions League last season, has reportedly been informed that he is free to leave Al-Nassr in the upcoming January transfer window. It could open up a space for the 31-year-old.

However, given the circumstances at Old Trafford, it is unlikely that Ten Hag to let him leave in January. The move could take next summer most likely if there's any possibility.
