Celta Vigo confirm signing of Turkish International Emre Mor from Borussia Dortmund

New Delhi, Aug 30: La Liga outfit Celta Vigo have announced the signing of Turkish International Emre Mor from Borussia Dortmund on a five-year deal on Tuesday (August 30).

The 20-year-old caught the eye of many after his impressive display while playing for Nordsjaelland in Denmark. The youngster who is dubbed as next Arda Turan was also called in Turkey's EURO 2016 squad where he also showed a glimpse of his talent.

This led German giant Dortmund clinching a move for the youngster however because of lack of strength and maturity, the winger could not cope up with top level football and only featured 19 times last season, scoring one goal and providing three assists, mostly as subs.

To develop his further growth, the Bundesliga club this season decided to ship the winger out and the Turkey international had been tipped to join Inter on a loan deal, however, talks with the Serie A side broke down this month.

The 20-year-old was also earlier linked with Liverpool and Everton but now the youngster opted to sign for Celta in what is reported to be a club-record €13 million deal.

'(Mor) is one of the young players with the most potential in European football,' said Celta in a statement.

'(He) stands out for his enormous one-on-one ability and his great speed, which gives him an impressive capacity to overload opponents, as well as the ease with which he passes between the lines.'

After the multi million of youngster Dembele to Barcelona and Newcastle loanee Mikel Merino, Mor becomes the third of last year's recruits to have left Dortmund this summer. Earlier Matthias Ginter and Sven Bender also left the club for Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayer 04 Leverkusen respectively.
