Celtic extended their lead in the Scottish Premiership to 13 points with a decisive 3-0 win over St Mirren at Celtic Park. Brendan Rodgers' team dominated the match, and although St Mirren held firm until the 33rd minute, it seemed inevitable that Celtic would break through. Nicolas Kuhn opened the scoring after a move initiated by Luke McCowan, with Daizen Maeda providing the assist.
Auston Trusty doubled Celtic's advantage just ten minutes later. The United States international marked his return to the starting lineup by heading home from an Arne Engels corner, effectively sealing the game. Kuhn nearly added another spectacular goal following a counterattack started by Kasper Schmeichel, but was thwarted by goalkeeper Zach Hemming.

Kuhn eventually secured his second goal of the match when Hemming mishandled the ball, allowing him an easy finish. Although Adam Idah had a fourth goal disallowed for offside, it did not dampen Celtic's spirits on a successful day. This victory allowed Celtic to increase their lead over Rangers, who had cut it earlier in the week with a 3-0 Old Firm win.
In contrast, Rangers were unable to maintain their momentum in their match against Hibernian, which ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw. Philippe Clement's side initially took control with two early goals from Hamza Igamane within 19 minutes. However, Martin Boyle brought Hibernian back into contention with two goals of his own.
Boyle's second goal came from a penalty after Ianis Hagi fouled Josh Campbell. Despite Igamane completing his hat-trick with a first-time finish from Vaclav Cerny's cross in the 74th minute, Rangers could not secure victory. Rocky Bushiri equalised for Hibernian with a header from a corner in the 83rd minute.
The results left Celtic comfortably ahead at the top of the table while Rangers missed an opportunity to close the gap further. Both teams will be looking to build on these performances as they continue their campaigns in the Scottish Premiership.
