London, Feb 6: Cesc Fabregas has backed his Chelsea team-mate Eden Hazard to be the best player in the World claiming that the player has the potential to break Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi’s dominance of the Ballon d'Or.
Hazard's highest ever finish in Ballon d'Or was eighth in 2015 season after he guided the Chelsea team to a Premier League trophy under Mourinho.
The Belgian international also was the key figure in Chelsea's title triumph last season, scoring 16 and assisting 6 and now has been considered as one of the best players alongside Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar etc.
The 27-year-old showing the same impressive feat this season too as he already piper down 9 goals with two assists only in 18 league matches.
And Fabregas who is playing alongside Hazard for the last four seasons now has suggested that the former Lille player has all the tools needed to become the best player in the world and revealed he has told Eden Hazard the same to motivate him winning the Ballon d’Or in the future.
"He is a player who can do one on one, he can get possession of the ball, he can pass and has great ability with the ball," Fabregas said. "With Eden, if he wants to win the Ballon d'Or it's up to him.
"I've played football for a long time and played with top, top players and he has all the quality, I know what he can do."
"I have told him that it's up to him, I like to be honest," Fabregas added. "In my opinion, he has the quality."
"Without the ball, he's very difficult to bring down and get the ball off him. When he is on top of his game he's up there with the very best."
Hazard also was on the scoresheet last night, however, could not stop his team from sinking. The defending Champions lost their away game against Watford 4-1 horribly after going down to 10 men following Bakayoko's red card and this now has seen them lying fourth in the table.
