UEFA Champions League Points Table: As the penultimate Round of the group stages take place, the Champions League points table is shaping up for its final positions.
Liverpool continued their position at the summit with their seventh straight win in the tournament as they beat Lille. Barcelona, on Tuesday, secured an epic comeback to win 5-4 at Benfica.
Arsenal, Real Madrid, PSG, Bayern Munich were in action on Wednesday. Real Madrid managed a crucial 5-1 win over Salzburg to keep their playoff prospects back in line, while Arsenal's comfortable 3-0 win over Zagreb means they are on the verge of qualifying as a top eight team. Bayern Munich suffered a 0-3 defeat at the hands of Feyenoord, and PSG overcame Man City 4-2, who are now out of the top 24 places.
The top eight teams at the end of group stages will progress straight to the Round of 16, whereas teams placed 9th to 24th will be taking part in a playoff match for the progression. Teams finishing 25th to 36th will be eliminated from the tournament.
