UCL Round of 16 Format Change

This is the last time the group winners will be facing the group runners-up in the Champions League round of 16.

From next year onwards, the top eight teams will qualify directly to the round of 16 from the group stages while the 9th to 24th place teams will be playing in a playoff to qualify for the round of 16 matches.

Arsenal have made a return to the Champions League after a gap of six years. And it has been a superb return for them as they have qualified as Group B winners. Their manager Mikel Arteta is buoyant and says the team will be ready for any battle in the upcoming round of the Champions League.

Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri says he would love to play Barcelona in the Round of 16. He also says the only club he hasn't faced ever is Barcelona. It will be a huge battle if the two teams lock horns.
