Southampton secured a 2-1 victory over QPR in their first match since Will Still's departure. Interim manager Tonda Eckert led the Saints to their first win since September. Southampton's triumph at Loftus Road marked their fifth consecutive win against QPR in the Football League. Before this match, Southampton had lost more away games than any other team since last season started, tied with Watford at 18 losses. Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday have dropped nine points from winning positions this season and haven't won in nine home league games.
