Channing Tatum Earns 'Style Points' With Viral Erling Haaland Lookalike Stunt At FIFA World Cup 2026
Hollywood star Channing Tatum had football fans doing a double take after turning up to Norway's FIFA World Cup 2026 clash against France dressed as Erling Haaland.
The Magic Mike actor was spotted in the stands at Boston Stadium sporting a Norway jersey and a long blonde wig tied into a ponytail, perfectly recreating the Manchester City striker's trademark hairstyle. Surrounded by fellow Haaland lookalikes, Tatum posed for selfies, joined in fan chants and fully embraced the Norwegian support.

Ironically, Haaland himself never took the field during Norway's 4-1 defeat to France, with the striker rested ahead of the Round of 32.
Erling Haaland reacts to Channing Tatum's transformation
The look wasn't a one-off.
Tatum first debuted his Haaland-inspired appearance earlier this month as part of a joint Nike campaign featuring the Norwegian star.
Reacting to the transformation, Haaland appeared impressed. "Handsome man," Haaland joked in the campaign video. "I'm not complaining. This is incredible."
Tatum also poked fun at the resemblance on social media, writing: "Ripped the script with my new stunt double."
Fans can't get enough of the Erling Haaland lookalike
The actor's appearance quickly went viral on social media, with fans flooding X with hilarious reactions.
One fan joked: "If the goal was to score style points, he nailed it, just wish he could net a goal like Haaland."
Another admitted they didn't recognize the Hollywood star at first. "I thought he was just some regular guy lol Tatum!"
Others had fun comparing the transformation to a budget version of the Norwegian striker.
"This Erling Haaland from Temu."
Another user summed up the bizarre sight perfectly, writing: "Not the Haaland multiverse 😭"
Channing Tatum's football connection
Tatum's association with football stretches back well before this World Cup.
The actor famously played high school football captain Duke Orsino in the 2006 film *She's the Man*. Reflecting on the role in a 2024 interview, Tatum admitted he wasn't quite the footballer audiences believed.
"I definitely led on a little bit more that I could play soccer than I actually could," he joked, adding that clever camera work helped make him look the part.
This time, though, it wasn't his football skills grabbing attention-it was an uncanny Erling Haaland impression that briefly had fans wondering whether Norway's star striker had somehow multiplied in the stands.
