Johanna Rytting Kaneryd's two goals helped Chelsea secure a 5-2 victory over Tottenham at Kingsmeadow. This win marks their fourth consecutive triumph in the Women's Super League. Maika Hamano and Sandy Baltimore also scored for Sonia Bompastor's team, who are now just one point behind league leaders Manchester City.
The match began with Rytting Kaneryd setting up Hamano for Chelsea's first goal in the 10th minute. Tottenham equalised controversially when Hannah Hampton was judged to have mishandled Amanda Nilden's cross into her own net. However, Chelsea regained their lead before half-time as Nilden accidentally scored an own goal.

In the second half, Rytting Kaneryd extended Chelsea's lead with a stunning volley in the 70th minute. Just four minutes later, Baltimore capitalised on a rebound from Guro Reiten’s missed penalty to make it 4-1. Despite Eveliina Summanen scoring a free-kick for Spurs, Rytting Kaneryd sealed the win with a brilliant solo effort in stoppage time.
Sonia Bompastor has made an impressive start as Chelsea manager, winning her first four matches in charge. She joins David Parker and Jonas Eidevall as one of only three managers to achieve this feat in the Women's Super League. Under her leadership, Chelsea has maintained a perfect record so far this season.
Tottenham, on the other hand, have struggled since their opening day win. They have yet to secure another victory and have conceded three penalties in five games, which is currently the highest in the league.
