Chelsea approach Bayern with loan offer for young midfielder

Chelsea have entered the fray with a loan offer for Renato Sanches and it is believed that Conte is an admirer of the Portuguese midfielder.

London, July 29: The future of Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches seems to be hanging in the balance right now. Despite the rumours of him being in demand from a number of clubs, the transfer saga has been dragging on for quite some time and there could be another twist in the tale.

English media are claiming that Premier League holders Chelsea have made an approach for the 19-year-old midfield sensation and it could be enough to persuade the man from Munich.

AC Milan were believed to be leading the race for Sanches on a permanent deal but reportedly the move collapsed as Milan failed to reach terms with Bayern.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have entered the fray with a loan offer for the youngster and it is believed that Conte is an admirer of the Portuguese.

Letting Sanches move on loan would certainly be a tempting option for Bayern as they would definitely want their priced asset to be in the future with them.

Bayern signed the midfielder from Benfica just a year back on a high fee but the move has not worked out so far. However, Sanches is still just 19 and would definitely improve big time in future.

Bayern have a congested midfield at the moment and it will be hard for Sanches to get playing time if he stays at Allianz Arena but at Chelsea, he would definitely get more minutes on the pitch and Bayern would like that.

Chelsea and Bayern faced each other in the International Champions Cup on Tuesday (July 25) and it is believed that Conte spoke with his compatriot Carlo Ancelotti, the Bundesliga champions' manager, after the game to discuss a potential deal.

Conte has spent around £130 million already this summer, smashing the club's transfer record to sign Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata, but wants at least three more signings and Sanches could add more strength to the Blues' squad.
