Bolton, Jan 25: Chelsea are back with a bang and how? They ruthlessly crushed Bolton Wanderers 4-0 to narrow the gap with English Premier League leader Manchester United to seven points.

Didier Drogba, Florent Malouda, Nicolas Anelka and Ramires all scored a goal each to give Chelsea the first win away since October 2010. Thwarting the initial aggression shown by the Wanderers, Chelsea scored the first goal in the 10th minute when Drogba shot past Jussi Jaaskelainen.

Malouda scored the second goal in the 41st minute which equaled him with Drogba on 10 goals. It is not as if Bolton were pushovers, but on Monday night they were just outplayed by a team that for long was threatening to explode but just didn't.

Anelka and Ramires scored the third and fourth goals for Chelsea respectively.

Drogba, who was the man of the match, told Sky Sports, "I took my chance, I had the confidence to try and the manager said to me to shoot when I had the chance," and added, "Maybe before I was thinking too much, this one I just wanted to shoot."
