Chelsea favourites to end Tottenham FA Cup bid
LONDON, Mar 11 (Reuters) Chelsea continue their quest for success on four fronts with a home FA Cup quarter-final against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge today.
With the League Cup already secured, Jose Mourinho's side are chasing FA Cup and Champions League silverware while trying to keep on Manchester United's heels in the Premier League.
Chelsea have not lost at home to Spurs since 1990 and will be more rested after both sides defeated Portuguese opposition in Europe in midweek.
Chelsea reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday by putting out Porto, while Spurs secured a 3-2 UEFA Cup victory at Braga on Thursday which leaves them well-placed to reach the last eight.
''We are playing against the champions and they haven't been beaten at Stamford Bridge for a long time,'' said Spurs captain Robbie Keane.
''We are not kidding ourselves, we know it is going to be difficult, but with the way we are playing we will go in with confidence high and will hopefully get a good result.'' Blackburn Rovers start favourites to win their northwest derby at home to Manchester City having inflicted a 3-0 league defeat on their Premier League rivals in January.
City also reached the quarter-finals last season, losing to West Ham United, but their good cup form contrasts markedly to their woeful league run which has drawn them into a relegation scrap.
In Sunday's other tie, second division side Plymouth Argyle host Premier League strugglers Watford.
Watford were beaten finalists in 1984, the year in which they knocked Plymouth out in the semi-finals with a 1-0 victory.
