Chelsea advanced to the Europa Conference League semi-finals despite a 2-1 loss at home to Legia Warszawa. The aggregate score was 4-2 in Chelsea's favour, thanks to their 3-0 win in the first leg. Legia's performance was not just luck; they achieved an impressive expected goals (xG) figure of 2.22 from their 13 shots at Stamford Bridge. This is the highest xG any team has recorded against Chelsea in this season's Conference League. Some Chelsea fans have expressed dissatisfaction with their team's possession-heavy style recently.

Chelsea had twice as many entries into the final third compared to Legia (69 to 28) but failed to capitalise effectively. Although they remain favourites for this tournament, Chelsea have only won two of their last five matches across all competitions, including two draws and one loss.
