Chelsea will have an essential summer ahead of the 2023/24 Premier League season as they look to rebound from a dismal last season.
Managerial turmoil and a lack of consistently strong performances saw the Blues finish the 2022/23 Premier League season in the bottom half for the first time since 1996, with a 12th-place finish.

However, it will be critical for the Blues and Pochettino to get their 2023/24 pre-season perfect to improve the current condition.
In order to do so, like last season, Chelsea have arranged their summer pre-season tour to the USA where they will play five preseason games, including three matches against Premier League opponents and another against a Bundesliga side.
Chelsea's first friendly of the summer will be against Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds’ National League champions Wrexham AFC on July 19 before taking on a trio of fellow Premier League teams - Brighton and Hove Albion, Newcastle United, and Fulham respectively.
Their biggest contest will be in the penultimate match where they will come up against Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund on 2nd August.
The pre-season will be a big test for some of the last season's newcomers to revive their Chelsea careers while the squad could see a big number of changes with as many as five to eight departures expected.
As of now, the Blues are only linked with Brighton midfielder Moise Caicedo however they are also exploring the market for goalkeeper and striker as well.
