Chelsea's captain, Reece James, expressed delight in silencing critics after their significant 1-0 victory over Manchester United. This victory was vital following Aston Villa's earlier win against Tottenham Hotspur, propelling Chelsea to fourth place, tied on points with Unai Emery's side.

James remains the sole player from Chelsea's 2020-21 Champions League triumph. He firmly believes the club belongs among Europe's elite. "I think that's where the club belongs, in the Champions League. Competing in the best competitions," James stated. Despite being labeled inexperienced, Chelsea proved their mettle against a seasoned United team.

Chelsea's impressive form at Stamford Bridge has been pivotal this season. They remain unbeaten at home in 2025, securing eight wins and two draws from ten matches. Their home performance has yielded more points (26) than any other team this year. Enzo Maresca, Chelsea's manager, felt his team deserved their latest win.
