London, March 15: Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a possibility to land Juventus's versatile star Kwadwo Asamoah as a free transfer in the Summer instead of his team-mate Alex Sandro.
Sandro was heavily linked with the Blues over the last two windows, however, both the clubs failed to agree on transfer fee and terms and the defending Premier League champions instead signed Roma left-back Palmieri.
But there were speculations that the Blues still could make an attempt to sign the player again in the Summer however now as per reports, Chelsea have reportedly shifted their attention from Juventus star Alex Sandro to his team-mate Kwadwo Asamoah who is out of contract at the end of the season.
Asamoah joined Juventus in 2012 when Conte was in charge of the Old Lady and now as per reports, the Blues manager is looking for a possibility to reunite with the Ghanaian player who can play both as winger and full-back in different systems.
Apart from Chelsea, Turkish side Galatasaray and Fenerbahce and Italian outfits AS Roma, Napoli and Inter Milan are recently been strongly linked with the 29-year-old.
However, it is believed that the defending Serie A leaders are reluctant to let go of the Ghanaian and have already tabled an extension offer for the player to prolong his stay after six years.
Asamoah in recent times have been limited to a squad player mostly and have been called from the bench for most of the occasion. The player is reportedly not happy with such prospect thus to have a regular game-time looking for his way out.
He was on the verge of moving to Galatasaray last Summer, but the transfer fell through as Juventus failed to find a replacement.
Asamoah came to Juventus from Udinese with vast expectations however after a bright start, injuries soon took their toll and he eventually became a squad player over the recent years.
Asamoah has played 19 games so far this season in all competition and overall 149 matches for the Serie A powerhouse, winning five Serie A titles, three Coppa Italia winner's medals and three Super Cup golds.
