Chelsea's Serious Performance Impresses Enzo Maresca In 8-0 Europa Conference League Victory

Enzo Maresca commended Chelsea's serious approach during their impressive 8-0 win against Noah in the Europa Conference League. The team's professionalism and focus were key to their success.

Chelsea delivered a commanding performance in their Europa Conference League match, defeating Armenian team Noah 8-0. Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku each scored twice at Stamford Bridge, with Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu, Axel Disasi, and Mykhailo Mudryk also contributing goals. By halftime, Chelsea led by six goals, marking the largest halftime lead by an English team in a major European competition since Derby County's 9-0 lead against Finn Harps in the 1976-77 UEFA Cup.

Enzo Maresca praised his team's professionalism against weaker opponents. "I think the players showed how professional and serious they are. It is very easy to sleep in these kind of games," Maresca said after the game. He emphasised the importance of focus from the start, noting that they conceded a chance within the first five minutes. Maresca stressed that respecting opponents means not underestimating them.

Chelsea Impresses with Dominant Europa League Win

Chelsea currently leads the 36-team league table on goal difference, having scored 16 goals in their three matches so far. The victory over Noah was Chelsea's biggest win in the competition's history. The Stamford Bridge crowd even chanted for more goals during the match, expressing their desire for a tenth goal.

Maresca expressed satisfaction with his strategy of rotating players between competitions. "Very impressed, especially because we are trying to change players every game. It works well," he added. This approach allows all players to gain valuable minutes on the pitch, whether in the conference or Premier League matches.

Centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo was pleased with maintaining a clean sheet despite fans' chants for more goals. "Concentration is key to make sure we have the clean sheet at the end of the game and we managed to do so," he told TNT Sports. Adarabioyo also expressed personal satisfaction with scoring a goal, highlighting its importance for him.

Chelsea now shifts focus back to Premier League action as they prepare to face Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. They aim to carry forward their momentum from this emphatic victory into their upcoming domestic fixture.
