Chelsea extended their lead at the top of the Women's Super League with a 3-1 win over Leicester City. Goals from Catarina Macario, Agnes Beever-Jones, and Erin Cuthbert secured the victory at Kingsmeadow. Chelsea's unbeaten run this season continues despite a recent draw against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Leicester City, aiming for their first WSL win in London, managed to reduce the deficit in the 55th minute. Yuka Momiki skillfully lifted the ball over Chelsea's goalkeeper Hannah Hampton. However, Chelsea sealed the match four minutes before full-time when Cuthbert scored from the edge of the area.

The game started with Chelsea taking an early lead just eight minutes in. Macario's free-kick found its way past Leicester's goalkeeper Janina Leitzig after deflecting off Julie Thibaud. This goal set the tone for Chelsea's dominant performance throughout the match.
In another match, Manchester City missed a chance to enter the top three due to a late equaliser from West Ham. Gareth Taylor’s team was on a four-match winning streak and had several scoring opportunities, finishing with higher expected goals than West Ham.
City debutant Laura Wienroither came close to scoring by hitting the crossbar from distance. They eventually took the lead in the 80th minute when Vivianne Miedema assisted Khadija Shaw for a close-range finish. Despite this, West Ham managed to equalise in stoppage time through Manuela Pavi’s impressive shot into the far corner.
Chelsea doubled their advantage shortly after halftime when Beever-Jones capitalised on Mayra Ramirez's clever backheel pass to score. This quick succession of goals demonstrated Chelsea's attacking prowess and determination to maintain their lead at the top of the league table.
