London, Oct 2(ANI): Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has said the team is enjoying its spectacular beginning in the Premier League under new coach Carlo Ancelotti.
"We've only lost one game all season. I don't know what people mean when they say we are 'not clicking'. We lost against Wigan at the weekend and didn't play well at all. But, we went to APOEL, not an easy game, and won," The Sun quoted Lampard, as saying. We have clicked this season. We've been flying. But, you're never going to get a season when you're flying every match. And when you don't, you have to win games anyway. We did that in Nicosia," he added.
Lampard further said that the defeat against Wigan was disappointing and emphasized that the team has scope for mprovement for the later stages of the League.
"It was disappointing. We didn't play as well as we can. We gave the ball away a lot and invited pressure. But, it's a clean sheet and we're top of the group," Lampard said. There were a few things that the boss wasn't happy about. That was pretty obvious. He was pleased with the result, but he said there were things we had to improve on. We all knew that anyway," he added.
Chelsea is now scheduled to play against Liverpool on Sunday. (ANI)
