Chennaiyin FC Onboard SSVM Institutions as Associate Sponsor for ISL 2023/24

By Mike Joseph

Chennaiyin FC on Wednesday (August 23) announced SSVM Institutions as their associate sponsor for the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) season. This collaboration will enable the two-time champions to expand their reach beyond Chennai and into other areas of Tamil Nadu, such as Coimbatore and Mettupalayam.

SSVM Institutions have been a longstanding partner of CFC, with a shared goal of promoting football among children as part of their comprehensive education plans. By teaming up with Tamil Nadu's premier football club, SSVM aims to increase participation in the sport.

Vita Dani, co-owner of Chennaiyin FC, expressed her pride in partnering with one of India's top educational organizations. She stated that the association between CFC and SSVM has grown stronger over time and is confident about a successful season ahead.

"SSVM Institutions are one of the finest education institutions in the country and we at Chennaiyin FC are proud to have them as a part of the family again. This association has grown stronger with each passing year and we are confident of a strong showing in the upcoming season, along with our partners SSVM," Vita Dani said.

As part of this partnership, Chennaiyin FC will offer students from SSVM institutions the opportunity to be involved in pre-match ceremonies and walk onto the field alongside first-team players during two home matches in Chennai throughout the 2023-24 season. These experiences aim to create lasting memories for these students.

Dr Manimekalai Mohan, Founder & Managing Trustee of SSVM Institutions, commented on their continued collaboration with Chennaiyin FC. She expressed joy at entering their fourth year together and emphasized how each season strengthens their bond as a resilient family. Dr Mohan also conveyed her support for CFC's success in all arenas.

"Embracing our fourth year of collaboration with Chennaiyin FC, we at SSVM Institutions are filled with joy. Each season strengthens our bond, uniting us as a resilient family. As we march forward, let our support propel Chennaiyin FC to greater heights, fostering success in every arena. Together, we thrive," commented Dr Mohan.

Chennaiyin FC remains committed to spreading football across every town and district in Tamil Nadu. The partnership with SSVM Institutions aligns perfectly with this objective due to its strong presence within the state's educational landscape.

Chennaiyin FC are currently competing in the Durand Cup 2023, a season opening tournament, where they have reached the quarterfinal stage. Owen Coyle's side will face fellow ISL side FC Goa in the last eight on Saturday (August 26).
