ISL club Chennaiyin FC have announced the departure of their coach Thomas Brdaric. The Chennai-based club announced their decision on Saturday (June 11) through social media and a press release.
"Chennaiyin FC and Thomas Brdaric have mutually parted ways following the conclusion of the football season 2022-23," a statement from the club read.

Brdaric served at the helm of the first team for 28 games and won ten matches out of those. During his tenure, CFC haven't had any silverware and couldn't qualify for the playoffs in the last season as well.
The former German international began his tenure at the club during the Durand Cup where the team managed to reach the quarter-finals. He was also in charge during the course of the Hero Indian Super League where the Marina Machans finished the league stage in eighth position with 27 points.
Brdaric last coached Chennaiyin in the Hero Super Cup where they failed to reach the knockout stages. The two-time ISL champions will be looking to appoint a new coach soon ahead of the upcoming season.
