Chinese fans are going crazy over Cristiano Ronaldo - Know the Reason!

Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo's much-anticipated "China Tour" has sent Chinese football enthusiasts into a frenzy, resulting in a rapid sellout of tickets within a matter of hours.

Chinese fans eagerly awaited the rare opportunity to witness the Portuguese star in action on Chinese soil, and their enthusiasm drove them to various online platforms where seats across all categories, except the two most expensive, reportedly disappeared "within seconds."

Cristiano Ronaldo and his side Al Nassr are set to play two friendlies in China. The Saudi Pro League is currently on a winter break and as a result, the team is gearing up for some friendlies outside their country.

The Saudi Arabian club, Al-Nassr will play two friendlies against Chinese clubs Shanghai Shenhua and Zhejiang FC on January 24 and 28 respectively.

With Ronaldo in the twilight of his career, it is fair to say that Chinese fans will not have many opportunities to witness their favorite star once again in their homeland and it certainly has created a huge buzz.

Not only the rapid sale of tickets, it is also understood that the impending arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo and his team has had a positive impact on tourism in China, particularly in the city of Shenzhen.

According to Li Jiwei, Vice President of the Meituan Research Institute, tourist reservations in Shenzhen have witnessed a remarkable 9-fold increase. This surge in interest reflects the significant boost that high-profile football events can provide to local economies and the tourism industry.

This will be Ronaldo's second visit to China. As a Juventus player in 2019, he played at the Nanjing Sports Stadium in the Intercontinental Champions Cup.

This will be the successive year Chinese fans will witness one of the world's greatest ever. Last year, Cristiano Ronaldo's long-time rival, Lionel Messi, also garnered substantial attention when he led Argentina to a 2-0 friendly victory over Australia in Beijing.
