Christos Tzolis joins Two Premier League Champions after joining Arsenal, reveals his Ambition in North London

Arsenal have completed the signing of Greek winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge in a deal worth approximately £34 million (€40 million).

The 24-year-old has signed a contract until 2031 and will wear the number 17 shirt. This marks Arsenal's first major outfield addition following their 2025/26 Premier League title success, as they bolster attacking depth after Leandro Trossard's departure to Besiktas.

Tzolis arrives in peak form after a standout season at Club Brugge, where he contributed 51 goal involvements (goals and assists) in 52 appearances, showcasing pace, dribbling flair, and clinical finishing. The move reunites him with the Premier League, where he first arrived as a teenager.

In August 2021, at age 19, Norwich City made him their club-record signing for around £10 million on a five-year deal. He made an explosive debut in the EFL Cup with a brace and two assists in a 6-0 win over Bournemouth. His Premier League bow came against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in September 2021.

However, injuries and limited opportunities hampered his time at Carrow Road. Across three years, he made roughly 27-30 appearances with just one league goal. Loans at FC Twente and Fortuna Düsseldorf helped him regain rhythm, but he ultimately left Norwich in 2024 without making a lasting impact in England.

Christos Tzolis joins Unique List

As highlighted by Opta, Tzolis now joins an exclusive group: he is only the third player to make his Premier League debut against Arsenal and later sign for the Gunners. The previous two - midfielder Christian Nørgaard and goalkeeper David Raya - both played key roles in Arsenal's 2025/26 title-winning campaign.

Tzolis has already expressed excitement and readiness, stating his priorities are to settle quickly, play regularly, and help Arsenal win more trophies.

"To win titles, of course. I think everybody knows the target to win as many trophies as possible. And to have as much game time as possible in the team, and the rest will come, I am sure about that," Tzolis said to the official Arsenal website.

"So for me, the most important thing is to settle down, have good feeling, play as much as possible. It will be very good I believe," he added.
