City's players on 2,000 pounds a man to beat Manchester United

By Super Admin

London, Dec 13(ANI): Manchester City's players will be paid just 2,000 pounds a man to beat arch rivals Manchester United in the Carling Cup semi-final.

City's 250 million pound super-squad studied the small print in their bonus schedule after beating Arsenal 3-0 in the quarter-final.

The players were reportedly played 750 pounds each for beating Arsenal 3-0 at Eastlands, the amount has been upgraded to 2,000 pound a man to beat United in the semi-final and have City has agreed on a 7,000 pound win bonus if they go on to meet Blackburn or Aston Villa at Wembley in the final, News of The World reported.

City's players are handsomely rewarded for Premier League wins, with the biggest incentives if they occupy either of the top two positions.

They each pick up 3,000 pounds a point bonuses, if they are in the top two, but that's been scaled back recently. (ANI)
