Philippe Clement remains unfazed about his future with Rangers, despite the team trailing Celtic by 14 points in the Scottish Premiership title race. On Sunday, Rangers managed a 2-2 draw against Motherwell after being two goals down, thanks to Hamza Igamane's double at Fir Park. This result followed a Boxing Day defeat to St Mirren.
During the first half against Motherwell, Rangers struggled, registering only one shot on target from seven attempts. As they headed to the changing rooms, travelling fans expressed their dissatisfaction by booing. Despite this, Rangers' performance arguably warranted more than just a point, as they ended with an expected goals (xG) total of 1.93 from 23 attempts.

In contrast, Celtic secured a comfortable 4-0 victory over St. Johnstone, extending their lead at the top before Thursday's Old Firm clash at Ibrox. When questioned about his position following these setbacks, Clement expressed confidence in the board's support for him moving forward.
"No, I'm not concerned about that because I'm only busy with the team," Clement stated. "We knew before the season what the project was and what a challenge it would be." He acknowledged that recent performances have not been up to par but emphasized progress made in previous weeks.
Clement highlighted that there has been noticeable evolution within the team. "There are already teams interested in some players for the future, which we didn't have the last two years," he noted. However, he admitted that discussing progress is difficult after dropping points against St Mirren and Motherwell.
The manager stressed the need for hard work in upcoming days to enhance resilience and determination in defensive actions. He also emphasized improvements needed when in possession of the ball.
Clement remains focused on developing his squad despite recent challenges. His belief in their potential is evident as he continues to navigate through this demanding period with optimism and determination.
