Kaiki Loan Signing To Strengthen Como's Defensive Options Ahead Of Champions League Debut

Kaiki Bruno da Silva says Como fans should expect strong commitment and emotion after completing a loan move from Cruzeiro. The Brazilian left-back joins the Serie A club for the 2026-27 season, with the agreement including a future permanent transfer.

The deal is reported to involve a 2m loan fee, followed by a 12m obligation to buy at the end of the campaign. Como are preparing for their first Champions League appearance, adding further focus to Kaiki’s arrival from Brazil.

Kaiki loan signing strengthens Como

Kaiki has already built a solid record with Cruzeiro since debuting in 2021, featuring 129 times in all competitions. During that period, the left-back has scored two goals and supplied 12 assists, underlining regular involvement in attacking phases.

In the current Brazilian Serie A season, paused for the World Cup, Kaiki has created 18 chances for Cruzeiro. Within the squad, only Matheus Pereira has produced more, with 52 chances. These numbers highlight why Como see Kaiki as a creative option from defence.

"I'm very happy to be here, in a fantastic city and at a great club. I can't wait to get started," Kaiki said. "This is a project that I found fascinating right from the start, and I think being able to express myself in an environment like this is very important to me. To the fans, I say to expect a lot of determination and a lot of passion; I'm a very dedicated and ambitious guy, and I'll do everything I can to make them happy."

Key details from Kaiki’s Cruzeiro career and Como’s early 2026-27 fixtures are shown below, outlining what awaits the Brazilian defender in Italy’s top flight and in domestic competition.

Como’s season starts away against Udinese on 22 August in Serie A. The team then return to Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia on 13 September, facing Bologna in their opening home league match of the new campaign.

Kaiki becomes Como's fourth incoming player of the summer window. Alvaro Morata has turned last season's loan into a permanent stay, while Andres Cuenca and Luis Milla have also completed moves, giving Cesc Fabregas more depth across the squad.

"Kaiki is a modern full back with speed, energy and the courage to play forward," Fabregas told the Como website. "He has the physical capacity to repeat runs, defend with intensity and give the team width in possession. He is still young, but he has already played important matches in Brazil and in South America, and his call-up to the national team shows the level of his development. We believe he has the qualities to grow in our way of playing, and we are happy to welcome him to Como."

The club also confirmed the move through an official announcement, underlining the long-term nature of the agreement and the expectation on Kaiki to contribute immediately in Serie A and in Europe.

With Champions League football ahead and several summer additions already secured, Como present Kaiki Bruno da Silva with a platform at a higher level. The Brazilian arrives with consistent game time behind, and both Kaiki and Cesc Fabregas outline plans for steady development within Como’s style.
