Antonio Conte Celebrates Napoli's Extraordinary Scudetto Win Amid Future Exit Speculations

Antonio Conte reflects on Napoli's significant Scudetto triumph while facing speculation about his future. This victory marks a historic achievement for the club.

Antonio Conte expressed that celebrating a Serie A title win with Napoli was an unparalleled experience. Reports suggest he might soon leave the Partenopei. After taking charge of a team that finished 10th last season, Conte led them to a remarkable title victory in his first year. Napoli secured the championship with a 2-0 win over Cagliari, followed by jubilant celebrations on an open-top bus parade.

Napoli made history by becoming the first team in a 20-team Serie A season to win the Scudetto after finishing 10th the previous year. The previous record for such an improvement was also under Conte, when Juventus jumped from seventh in 2010-11 to first in 2011-12. Despite rumours linking him back to Juventus, Conte avoided discussing his future and instead focused on the fans' celebrations.

Conte Celebrates Napoli's Scudetto Victory

"We work to do something important and give these sensations to ourselves, but above all to the fans. I am truly happy, celebrating the Scudetto at Napoli is truly something extraordinary," Conte told Rai during the parade. "It is a city that gives you everything and wants a lot in return. I think we gave them all we had and they are repaying us today with this extraordinary affection."

Conte praised Inter Milan, who will face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final. "Honour to those who won but also to Inter because we beat a great team that had an extraordinary season and on Saturday has the chance to win the Champions League. This honours us even more," he added.

Romelu Lukaku, Napoli's top scorer this season, commented on Conte's future: "I will do everything to keep him here, I always talk to him, I told him to stay." With this title, Napoli have now lifted it twice in three seasons, having previously won only with Diego Maradona in their side during 1986-87 and 1989-90.

Conte's Record-Breaking Achievements

Napoli now holds four Scudetto titles, making them the most successful team from central to southern Italy. Conte has won Serie A five times as a coach—three times with Juventus and once each with Inter and Napoli. He matches Marcello Lippi and Fabio Capello's five titles but trails Giovanni Trapattoni (seven) and Massimiliano Allegri (six).

The bond between Naples and its football club is unique due to its passion and enthusiasm. Celebrating success here is unlike any other place. The city's love for football creates an environment where achievements are deeply cherished by both players and fans alike.
