Copa America 2024: No Broadcast, No Live Streaming in India - How can Indian Fans Watch Argentina, Brazil in Action?

The news has come late, but is disappointing news for the Indian fans as Copa America 2024 is likely not to be telecast or live-streamed in India.

The prized tournament, which will feature the likes of Argentina, Brazil, may not have any broadcasters in India for the upcoming edition which starts from Thursday (early morning on Friday in India).

Argentina is set to take on Canada in the first match of the tournament, while Brazil will take the field on Tuesday.

No Telecast in India for Copa America 2024

Copa America 2024 was supposed to be telecast on Sony Sports Network like the previous editions, but there was no official confirmation from the network prior to the start of the tournament.

MyKhel can confirm that Sony Sports Network will not telecast the tournament in India. A source told MyKhel that the usual rights of the Copa America is acquired at the very last minute, but it won't be materializing this year.

"Usually, the rights are acquired last minute, the same happened in 2021 as well. But this time it's not happening on Sony for sure, as of now at least," the source said.

No Live Streaming for Copa America 2024 in India

Although Fancode was set to stream the matches live in India, Fancode suddenly announced that they would not stream the matches, much to the disappointment of the fans.

"We regret to inform you that we are not currently streaming the Copa America League. We will be in touch you via the website/mobile app if we start broadcasting on the Fancode app in the future," Fancode's official X account replied to a question of a fan.

It is to be seen if there is any last-minute changes to the proceedings, but for now, it looks like the Indian fans won't be able to watch their favourite stars in Copa America this year.

Copa America's sudden changes have raised a huge question in fans' minds. It is unclear how to watch the matches for them.

Fubo TV will provide the live streaming of the Copa America matches in USA. Indian fans may be able to watch the matches on the platform using VPN or other methods.

This is a new low to the broadcasting of football in India. A country which consists of football lovers through length and breadth, no access to Copa America is a massive disappointment.
