The reigning Copa America champions, Argentina qualified for the knockout stages with a 100% win record. They will be facing Ecuador in the quarter-finals at NRG Stadium in Houston on Thursday in a rematch of the 2021 quarter-finals. Both teams will be determined to win this match with a position in the final four at stake.

La Albicelestes won their Group A with nine points from their three matches, defeating Peru, Chile, and Canada. On the other hand, Ecuador ended their group stage journey in second position in Group B.
