Cristiano Ronaldo advocates for Saudi Arabia's World Cup 2034 Bid indirectly, sends special Message - Watch

By MyKhel Staff

Cristiano Ronaldo, the global football icon and Al Nassr superstar, recently spent time with young Saudi footballers, inspiring them as part of the #GrowingTogether initiative linked to the Saudi Arabia 2034 bid.

Since joining Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo has not only elevated the league's profile but also delivered outstanding performances, contributing goals, assists, and leadership. His presence has attracted global attention, boosting football's popularity across Saudi Arabia.

Along with being the flagbearer of Saudi football, Ronaldo has been vocal in supporting the causes of the Saudi Arabian royalty since his arrival at Al Nassr. The Portugal star has often promoted Saudi campaigns, and the latest one is his open advocacy for Saudi Arabia's bid for World Cup 2034.

As the FIFA World Cup takes place in 2034, Saudi Arabia is one of the nations who have joined the bidding queue for hosting the tournament. And stating that, Ronaldo posted on social media how the football landscape is changing in the country and how Saudi Arabia's bid is inspiring the next generation in the country.

"The @Saudi2034bid is inspiring so many young footballers with the promise of #GrowingTogether and it was a pleasure to meet some of those kids who are dreaming of welcoming the world to Saudi Arabia in 2034," Ronaldo wrote on X.

The most recent World Cup took place in Qatar in 2022, and in twelve years' time, another Asian country can host the coveted competition again. With Ronaldo now directly involved in their quest for hosting, Saudi Arabia's prospects of acquiring the hosting rights may get a significant boost.

Ronaldo's on-field performance has also been stellar in the last few weeks. The former Real Madrid ace scored a brace in the last match against Damac and has found the net 7 times in the last four outings for both club and country.
