Cristiano Ronaldo on Monday (July 31) night broke yet another record when he scored the second goal for Al Nassr against US Monastir in a King Salman Club Cup game at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The superstar forward, who already owns numerous records, having netter over 1000 goals for club and country, overtook German great Gerd Muller's record for most headed goals in football history.

Ronaldo met Sultan Al Ghanam's cross in the 74th minute to put Al Nassr in front, scoring his 145th headed goal. Muller had scored 144 goals with his head. The 38-year-old's goal started Al Nassr's comeback with the match ending 4-1. Here is a glimpse of the thumping header:
Ronaldo in fact is the only active footballer to have score more than 120 header goals. He has overtaken the likes of Pele, Carlos Santilla and now Muller in the list. Here is a look at the players with most header goals.
Most headed Goals in football history
| Player | Nationality | Header Goals |
| Cristiano Ronaldo | Portugal | 145 |
| Gerd Muller | Germany | 144 |
| Carlos Santillana | Spain | 125 |
| Pele | Brazil | 124 |
This was also Ronaldo's 839th goal in his career, extending his goal in a season record to the 22nd consecutive season. Ronaldo had failed to find the net in the pre-season friendlies and the Arab Club Champions Cup opener, but has finally found his scoring form.
Ronaldo, who joined Al Nassr in January 2023 after terminating his contract with Premier League giants Manchester United, has so far scored 15 goals for the Saudi Pro League side.
