Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr has completely changed the dynamic of the Saudi Pro League. The league, which was hardly followed by countries outside of Middle East, is now being broadcasted in most countries across the world.
That is what a superstar of the stature of Cristiano Ronaldo can do. The Portuguese international has completely transformed Saudi Arabian football scenes and it would be hardly surprising to see more and more popular footballers follow the Portuguese icon to Saudi Arabia.
Given the money the Saudi Pro League can offer, it has everything to eclipse the likes of Major League Soccer and Chinese Pro League for footballers who are looking for fat pay cheques in the later years of their careers. Several top players have been linked with moves to Saudi Pro League following Ronaldo's switch to Riyadh-based Al-Nassr. Here, we will take a look at three such players.
Lionel Messi
With Cristiano Ronaldo already in Saudi Arabia, it is quite natural to see Lionel Messi also being linked with a move to the Middle East. Al-Nassr's biggest rivals Al Hilal are reportedly preparing a massive offer to sign Lionel Messi. As per reports in Spain, the Riyadh-based side are ready to offer £194 million per season as wages to the former Barcelona man to lure him away from PSG, whose contract at the Parc des Princes expires this summer.

Sergio Ramos
Sergio Ramos faces a similar situation at PSG like Messi as his contract is also up for expiry this summer. Reports claimed that the Spaniard could be let go by the French champions as they look to cut down their wage bill and also look to bring more young blood into the side. Ramos has been linked with a move to Al-Nassr where he would be reunited with long-term former teammate Ronaldo.
Luka Modric
Luka Modric seems to be defying age with relative ease and is getting better and better. Even at the age of 37, he remains one of the best and most consistent midfielders in world football. However, Modric's contract with Real Madrid expires this summer. Although he will probably be offered a new deal, Modric has also been linked with a reunion with Ronaldo at Al-Nassr.
