Former Manchester United and Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Al-Nassr in January with the most expensive contract in football history which is said to be worth £173 million annually.
The 38-year-old's contract with Manchester United was terminated after a controversial interview with journalist Piers Morgan. Many fans and pundits expected him to continue in Europe with another top side. However, surprising everyone Ronaldo opted for a lucrative contract that any athlete could dream of.
Ronaldo's salary is broken down such that he effectively makes £21,400 each hour and £514,00 per day. Amazingly, though, the prices there are far lower than what a brand would have to pay for its services just for only half a day.
In 2017, the publication of a Football Leaks book explained how much it would cost to rent the Portuguese international for a day. The report suggested that at that moment Cristiano Ronaldo charged a mammoth £920,000 for four and a half hours of brand association.
A photoshoot, five autographed jerseys, and two certain mentions on his social media accounts were all included in the contract that he associated with the Saudi telecom organization Mobily and his image rights company, Multisports & Image Management.
