Cristiano Ronaldo was captured crying inconsolably on the pitch after Al Nassr's defeat to Al Hilal in the Saudi Kings Cup Final.
Al Nassr took on rivals Al Hilal in the final but the dramatic match ended in Al Hilal's favour, who clinched the title after defeating Ronaldo's team in the penalties.

The teams were inseparable after 120 minutes with a 1-1 scoreline, and the match went to the penalties. Alex Telles missed his spot kick for Al Nassr, while Ruben Neves of Al Hilal also spilt his chance. But the decisive moment came when Meshari Al Nemer's shot was saved and the Knights of Najd got beaten in the final.
Cristiano Ronaldo played the entire 120 minutes and converted his penalty, but as Al Nassr lost, the Portugal star couldn't hold his emotions and was dejected. The 39-year-old was down on the pitch lying and crying profusely.
Even after lifting himself up from the pitch and sitting in the dugout, Ronaldo was unable to control his tears. Ronaldo was consoled by his teammates but after a trophyless season, the Al Nassr captain was not consolable at all.
Ronaldo had a tremendous season with Al Nassr. He scored 50 goals this season across all competitions. The Portuguese also broke the Saudi Pro League record for most goals in a season as he netted 35 goals, surpassing the tally of 34 of former Al Nassr striker Abderrazak Hamdallah.
Although Al Nassr have had another disappointing season, their CEO Guido Fienga has confirmed that Ronaldo is set to extend his stay with the club for the next season as well. As the season is over for the Saudi club, Ronaldo's focus will shift to Euro 2024 as he is set to captain Portugal in the continental competition.
