The main interest of the Riyadh Season Cup was the meeting between Al Nassr and Inter Miami, where fans could have witnessed long-time rivals Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi facing each other one more time in a much-anticipated 'Last Dance’.
However, Cristiano Ronaldo's injury pours water on it. Al Nassr played the game while Ronaldo was in the stand and won it defeating Lionel Messi's side 6-0. Ronaldo has been out injured for some time now and has now missed two back-to-back friendlies.

Al Nassr returned to Saudi Arabia following the cancellation of two friendly matches they were scheduled to play in China. Cristiano Ronaldo was in the race against time to feature against Inter Miami but that did not happen.
It is now speculated that the Middle-East side will not risk Ronaldo in their next game against Al Hilal in another friendly on February 8th. The 38-year-old is now expected to feature directly in their knockout campaign in the AFC Champions League starts on February 14th.
Al Nassr will play Saudi Pro League club Al-Fayha in a Round of 16 match on 14th February. Ronaldo is expected to return to action in this game. Ronaldo has been a star performer for Al Nassr in the ongoing campaign. He recorded 53 goals in the calendar year 2023.
Currently, Ronaldo is the top scorer in the Saudi Pro League with 20 goals and is also leading the assist charts with nine assists. Al Nassr (46 points) are currently second on the points table after 19 games while AL Hilal are seven points ahead of them. 15 more league matches are left to play for both the sides.
