Al Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo has won another award in his illustrious career, this time for scoring the most number of goals in a calendar year.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored 54 goals in 2023 for both his club and country, which has added another feather to his glittering crown. Ronaldo has now won the Maradona Award for scoring the most number of goals in 2023.

Ronaldo has been brilliant for Al Nassr, scoring 44 goals for the Saudi club in just 50 appearances. He has been brilliant this season, netting 30 goals already in just 31 matches.

The 38-year-old has taken the Maradona Award beating his rivals across the world. Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe were Ronaldo's closest competitors, but both managed 52 goals in 2023. Manchester City striker Erling Haaland also managed only 50 goals and thus trail further behind Ronaldo.
