Cristiano Ronaldo scored another goal as Al-Nassr secured a convincing 3-1 victory against Al Ettifaq in a Saudi Pro League clash

It was Cristiano Ronaldo who once again captured the spotlight. The Portuguese maestro made no mistake from the penalty spot in the second half, driving the ball into the bottom corner to mark his 51st goal of the year. Ronaldo's strike in the 73rd minute further cemented Al-Nassr's dominance in the game and showcased his unwavering prowess in front of goal.

The game's opening salvo came just before the halftime whistle when Alex Telles unleashed a spectacular volley from outside the penalty area. Marcelo Brozovic then added to the tally in the 59th minute, doubling Al-Nassr's lead and setting the stage for Ronaldo's subsequent penalty goal.

This marks the 51st goal for Ronaldo this year and it is also the 870th goal of his career.

Winning over Al Ettifaq also has a personal touch for Ronaldo from his Manchester United days, as Ettifaq is managed by Steven Gerrard, a Liverpool legend.

The triumph ensured that Al Nassr kept the pressure on league leaders Al-Hilal, though they remain 10 points adrift. Al Hilal had earlier set a high bar with a resounding 7-0 win over the struggling Abha, showcasing the competitiveness at the top of the Saudi Pro League.

Al Nassr are back in Saudi league action on Tuesday as they face defending champions Al Ittihad.
