Cristiano Ronaldo set to stay at Al Nassr, may become stakeholder at Saudi Club

By MyKhel Staff

Cristiano Ronaldo will continue playing for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia for another season, reaffirming his commitment to the club and the Saudi Pro League and the club.

While his new contract remains financially unmatched, his decision to stay goes beyond monetary factors, signalling a deep-rooted partnership and loyalty to Al Nassr.

One of the most significant developments is Ronaldo's acquisition of a small ownership stake in the club. This gesture reflects the trust and admiration the Al Nassr leadership has in the Portuguese superstar. The club's management, impressed by Ronaldo's impact since his arrival in Riyadh, has granted him a five percent share in the historic Saudi club, which is currently undergoing a structural transformation with a new CEO and president at the helm.

Commitment to Al Nassr and the Saudi Pro League

Since joining Al Nassr, Ronaldo has demonstrated unparalleled dedication and professionalism. He has embraced the club as his own, and this symbolic ownership solidifies his connection to the team. Speaking about his time in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo expressed his pride in contributing to the growth of the league:
"I am honoured that the league is growing and that many star players are coming to make it an even better and more competitive league."

Ronaldo's renewed contract, worth a staggering €183 million for one season, further cements his status as the highest-paid footballer in the world. This translates to €15.25 million per month, €3.8 million per week, and an astounding €550,000 per day.

While the financial terms are remarkable, another key factor in Ronaldo's decision is the club's commitment to building a more competitive team. Al Nassr is keen to challenge for the Saudi Pro League title, where Al Hilal and Al Ittihad currently hold an edge. The team's management plans to bring in reinforcements during the winter transfer window, with at least one or two new signings expected.

By aligning his future with Al Nassr, Ronaldo has not only secured his place in the team's history but has also embraced the opportunity to shape its future, both as a player and as a part-owner.
