Al-Nassr and Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has invested $40 million in the development of UFL, an upcoming football video game ready to challenge the multibillion-dollar titles EA Sports FC series and eFootball's domination.
The strategic investment comes after UFL made headlines last year when it featured Ronaldo on its cover. Strikerz Inc., the Paphos, Cyprus-based business behind UFL, has now attracted Cristiano Ronaldo as a significant investor in its initiative, reflecting the game's desire to reinvent the virtual football experience.

UFL promises to be a free-to-play football video game with a fair, skill-based approach that sets it apart from other brands on the market. Unlike earlier games, UFL will not impose required payments or yearly fees on players. Instead, without any financial responsibilities, users may enjoy regular upgrades and new features.
A couple of promotions will be connected with the game's 'fair to play' online divisions, with seasons lasting a full year. A single player will be proclaimed UFL champion at the end of each yearly cycle. While Strikerz Inc. emphasizes the online aspect of UFL, they additionally confirmed offline play, as well as 2v2 and 3v3 gameplay choices.
UFL's innovative approach to gaming signals a change towards a more inclusive and skill-based gaming experience. With Cristiano Ronaldo's involvement, the game hopes to pique the interest of football fans all around the world.
When it is released, the game will be compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S consoles, pitting it against renowned games like eFootball and EA Sports FC-the latter of which is supported by Argentine football great Lionel Messi. Fans can expect the game to be live around Autumn 2024.
