Cristiano Ronaldo YouTube Debut: Breaking Records and Earning Millions with Just 12 Videos

By Rishab VM

Cristiano Ronaldo, the iconic Portuguese footballer, has long been recognized as a global social media powerhouse, amassing an enormous following across various platforms.

Recently, Ronaldo expanded his digital empire by launching his YouTube channel, 'UR - Cristiano,' and the results have been nothing short of spectacular. In a matter of days, Ronaldo has not only set new records but also opened up a significant new revenue stream. The question on everyone's mind is just how much Ronaldo has earned from this latest venture.

Cristiano Ronaldo s YouTube

Ronaldo's entrance into the YouTube world has been nothing short of meteoric. The channel, which went live only two days ago, has already attracted over 30 million subscribers - a staggering achievement, especially for such a young channel. Despite most of the videos being short, typically around one minute long, Ronaldo's immense popularity ensured the channel quickly surpassed the million-subscriber mark in less than two hours, a testament to his unmatched global appeal.

To date, Ronaldo has uploaded 12 videos, and the viewership numbers are staggering. Three of these videos have already crossed the 20 million views mark, further solidifying Ronaldo's status as a digital juggernaut. The content on his channel varies, featuring appearances by his son, Cristiano Jr., and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez. These videos, ranging from light-hearted challenges like 'This or That' games to free-kick challenges and ranking his Euro goals, have captivated fans worldwide.

But beyond the entertainment, there's a lucrative aspect to Ronaldo's YouTube channel. According to a research by Thinkific, YouTube creators can earn close to USD 6 per 1,000 views, translating to between USD 1,200 and USD 6,000 per million views. Considering that Ronaldo's channel has already exceeded 100 million views, his earnings from YouTube ad revenue alone could already be substantial in the hundreds of thousands, if not more.

However, the potential earnings don't stop at ad revenue. Given Ronaldo's global brand and appeal, his channel is an attractive platform for sponsorships and brand collaborations. As these deals start rolling in, the revenue generated from partnerships could easily surpass what he makes from ads, possibly reaching millions in a short time.

While Ronaldo's YouTube success continues to rise, his footballing career remains equally impressive. The 2023-24 season saw him score an incredible 44 goals for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. Although his performance in Euro 2024 was below expectations, where he failed to score, he has kicked off the 2024-25 season strongly, netting three goals in three games.
