Eartha Cumings is thrilled to be back in the Women's Super League, having signed a three-year contract with Manchester City. Previously, she played for Bristol City, Liverpool, and Everton before joining FC Rosengard in 2023. During her time there, she won the Damallsvenskan in 2024 and was honoured as Goalkeeper of the Year after allowing only nine goals and achieving 18 clean sheets.
Her return to England brings valuable experience to Manchester City. Cumings has been capped seven times by Scotland and aims to leverage her skills to support the team in the upcoming season. "I think it's an exciting team, and it's always nice to come close to home," Cumings expressed on Man City's official website.

Manchester City finished fourth in the WSL last season, narrowly missing out on a spot in the Champions League. The team conceded 28 goals during the 2024-25 season, with only Arsenal (26), Chelsea (16), and Manchester United (13) having better defensive records. Cumings will compete with Ayaka Yamashita and Khiara Keating for a place in goal.
The club's ambitions are high, and Cumings is eager to contribute. "There are a lot of young players, but also a bit of a mix [of experience] and, obviously, City have high ambitions and aspirations," she noted. Her presence is expected to bolster the team's defensive strength.
Cumings is looking forward to joining what she describes as a "really great goalkeeper union" at Manchester City. She believes that they have great fun together and is excited about being part of this dynamic group. Her addition is anticipated to enhance competition within the squad.
Cumings' return signifies an exciting phase for both her career and Manchester City's journey in women's football. Her experience from playing abroad will be invaluable as she integrates into the team’s framework. The upcoming campaign promises challenges but also opportunities for growth.
