Rachel Daly has committed to Aston Villa for an additional two years, extending her contract until June 2027. She initially joined the club three years ago from Houston Dash in the NWSL. During her time at Villa, Daly has played 87 matches across all competitions and scored 59 goals. Her first season was particularly impressive, with 30 goals scored, earning her the Women’s Super League Player of the Season and the Golden Boot with 22 league goals.

In the previous Women's Super League (WSL) season, Daly netted eight goals, placing her joint-eighth in the league's top scorers. Additionally, she provided three assists. The striker's performance was noteworthy as she ranked fifth in expected goals (7.4 xG) and eighth for direct goal contributions, totalling 11.
