David Beckham makes surprise England training visit before Norway showdown

England great David Beckham paid a visit to the Three Lions' training session in Miami ahead of their FIFA World Cup 2026 quarter-final against Norway, receiving a warm welcome from the squad as preparations continued for Saturday's knockout clash.

The England national team's official social media account shared a photo of Beckham alongside captain Harry Kane, captioning it: "England legend Sir David Beckham joins us at training this afternoon in Miami. Good to see you, Sir David!"

Beckham spent time with the squad as Thomas Tuchel's side fine-tuned preparations for their last-eight meeting with Norway, who booked their place in the quarter-finals after a shock 2-1 victory over five-time champions Brazil.

England, meanwhile, reached the last eight after edging Mexico 3-2 in a dramatic Round of 16 encounter at the Azteca Stadium.

England chasing another World Cup semi-final

The Three Lions are making their 11th appearance in a FIFA World Cup quarter-final. Only Brazil (15) and Germany (14) have reached this stage more often.

England will hope Beckham's visit provides an added morale boost as they attempt to reach another World Cup semi-final under Tuchel.

Jude Bellingham makes World Cup history

England's victory over Mexico was inspired by Jude Bellingham, who scored twice to become the first player since Diego Maradona in 1986 to net a World Cup brace at the Azteca Stadium.

The Real Madrid midfielder helped England survive a late Mexican fightback before setting up a quarter-final showdown with Erling Haaland's Norway.

Norway arrive in Miami full of confidence after eliminating Brazil, with Haaland scoring both goals to take his tournament tally to seven, joint-most by a player on his World Cup debut since Poland's Grzegorz Lato achieved the feat in 1974.

England and Norway face off in Miami on Saturday for a place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-finals.
