“And that’s the only way I see to be successful.

"I’ve played this game for many years. I’ve been lucky to have played in some of the biggest clubs in the world, under some of the biggest managers, with some of the best players. So, my experience is in football, so that is what I bring this ownership group.

However, that short stint did not go down well as after only 17 matches, he got the sack where he won only 3 matches in the process and also got a hammering against Barcelona, losing 7-0 in a match.

The Englishman later suggested that he has no plans of returning to football management soon however if such offer from a close friend comes by, the treble-winning defender could again review his stance of returning to his base.
