In his final season with United, De Gea won the Premier League's Golden Glove by keeping 17 clean sheets. However, he conceded 43 goals from an expected goals on target (xGoT) of just 41.45. His ability to build play from the back was questioned due to a pass completion rate of 68.33%, ranking him 13th among goalkeepers with at least five Premier League starts.
